ABOUT US

The Academy of Motorsports at Carlisle is the first motorsports boarding school in North America, attracting the best and brightest youth with interests in motorsports from around the world.   This unique program initially focuses on driver development and education, but will quickly expand to include engineering and other facets of the motorsports business.

The Academy combines Southern Virginia’s Motorsports Alley assets with Carlisle School's world-class education.  Racing venues abound in The Alley, including road courses, oval tracks, dirt tracks and off-road trails, cutting-edge research facilities and specialized educational programs. Academy students have access to all this and more in a format tailored specifically to their interests and educational levels.

The Academy of Motorsports is a collaborative effort between VIRginia International Raceway and Carlisle School.  Other important partners are:
